Halton Disability Forum is an independent association of individuals, organisations and groups working together to share information about disability issues and to take action with disabled people of all ages in Halton to improve their quality of life. ‘Disabled’ is used as an inclusive term, covering physical, sensory, learning and other mental health disabilities. ‘Independent’ means that the Forum is not structurally part of any single group/organisation, although it is currently serviced (minutes, mailings, etc) by Halton Disability Partnership. The Forum is not a constituted body, and its Members are obliged only to abide by any rules that the Membership may determine.
Dates for Forum Meetings in 2015:
n.b. All the meetings will be from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm, in the Boardroom, Municipal Buildings, Kingsway, Widnes, WA8 7QF
The Agenda for the meeting on 25th February will include discussion of a HDP partnership with HBC to facilitate Co-Production, particularly in relation to the Care Act 2014. This is intended to complement work already done as part of the Making It Real initiative in Halton.
The One Page Profile from TLAP is a good starter on Co-Production.
If you would like to become a Member of the Forum, please contact David Atkinson or phone 01928 248937.
