A message from John Abbott, Chief Executive HDP
26th March 2020
As the national crisis develops, Halton Disability Partnership (HDP) is adapting our service to meet the needs of vulnerable people in our country.
HDP has supported more than 400 vulnerable people in our community. As social activities have largely ceased our team of Personal Assistants (PAs) now focus on counselling, reassurance, monitoring, companionship and support to help the wellbeing of many isolated people at this difficult time.
Our staff adhere to safe practice and social distancing but we are being imaginative in how we contact and relate to clients, be that via telephone, face time or through a closed window. This contact will be vital over the coming period to ensure the welfare of some of our most vulnerable fellow citizens.
I should place on record my gratitude and pride in the whole HDP team both office and our large register of Personal Assistants for their hard work, forbearance and commitment to supporting and caring for our clients.
We at HDP will continue to strive to ensure our vital service is available and continues during this period of crisis.
If you have any questions, queries or concerns pleas ring the team on the 01928 248 937 and we will listen and try to help, advise and support you. If this number is busy, an alternative is 07395930753.
Thank you and take care
