HDP Chief Executive writes;-

2020 marks 10 years of HDP.

HDP continues to adhere to our founding principles and values of supporting local people with disability or mental health challenges to be able to engage fully as citizens.

Since 2010, HDP has supported people in accessing real choice in their care, combined with safeguarding and wellbeing.

A significant award from the ‘Big Lottery’ recognized the value of our work and has enabled us to develop and expand.

HDP continues to provide key services locally including;

-choice/control in care

-welfare rights advice

-help with power of attorney forms (POA)

As well as our core, services provision, HDP recognizes that some people are excluded from exercising choice in their care due to alleged lack of capacity. To meet this unmet need HDP now directly employs personal assistants (PA’S) to work with all people with disabilities in a way that enables them to have choice in care without the stress and anxiety of managing the process.

These are exciting times for HDP. Our service is developing and growing whilst adhering to our core values and being a “Disabled People User Led Organisation”.

To celebrate this milestone we are holding an event including stalls and entertainment on Wednesday 22th July at Churchill Hall, Cooper Street, Runcorn Old Town.

All are welcome to come along, share ideas and meet other partners in local support service.
